Annually Calhoun County’s greatest celebrity impersonators raise money for Red Cross of Calhoun & Cleburne counties by serving lunch to local employee groups and individuals. Companies and individuals sponsor tables and those in attendance look forward to the event with great anticipation of who will be there to perform. In 2009, with over 350 people in attendance, the Blues Brothers (Gina Byars, Jim Friend and Brandon Glover of Alabama Power in Anniston) performed a skit which included singing. The Blue Brothers took the trophy for Most Entertaining while the Golden Girls (Audrey Tinkey of AOD Federal Credit Union, Misty Skinner of BR Williams Trucking, Katie Van Meter of Open MRI, and Jessica Carter of Noble Bank) took home the coveted trophy of Best Impersonator. Best table decoration was awarded to Alabama Power. Also, pictured is Rashad Pearson of Wilhoite and Associates, who was a crowd favorite as Mr. T.
