When disasters, large or small, strike, the Red Cross provides shelter, food, and health services to individuals and families who are affected. From care for hurricane evacuees to providing home cleanup kits to tornado and flood victims, the Mid Alabama Region is there to help.
The DAT (Disaster Action Team) volunteer program responds to the scene of disaster to assist people in crisis. DAT programs are available in the following areas: Bessemer, Bibb, Birmingham-Jefferson, Blount, Calhoun, Cherokee, Cullman, Etowah, Randolph, Shelby, St. Clair, Talladega, Tallapoosa, Walker and West Alabama.
Emergency assistance is available through the American Red Cross in your county. Please contact your local Red Cross for assistance.
