For more than 92 years, the Red Cross in Randolph county has relied on the everyday heroes who donate time, blood or money; heroes who help coordinate blood drives, heroes who teach lifesaving skills such as CPR and First Aid; heroes who stand prepared and ready to serve when disaster strikes.
It has been the place where compassionate people freely give their time and talent to help prevent and ease human suffering among friends, neighbors and even strangers.
The citizens of Randolph County made contributions to fund the cost of providing immediate relief to victims of house fires. You gave your blood and learned CPR, First Aid, and Water Safety skills to save the lives of friends, neighbors and strangers. You volunteered your time to help those in need.
In the past year alone, the Randolph County Service Unit responded to 12 local emergencies, assisted military families and trained over 50 people in lifesaving skills such as CPR and first aid.
