The 2nd Annual Paint the Town Red event was a huge success for the Birmingham-Jefferson Red Cross. People came out to see great digital artwork, live entertainment and street vendors lining 2nd Avenue North.
The Mid Alabama Region Day of Giving was held on December 12, 2009. Volunteers and staff members were located at malls in the Birmingham-metro area to collect donations for American Red Cross programs and services.
On June 13, 2009, the Historic Downtown Loft District turned into a digital art and street festival. Artwork was displayed on the walls and screens along 2nd Avenue North in Birmingham.
Faith Chapel Christian Center donated over $142,000 to the American Red Cross for Haiti relief efforts. Representatives from the Mid Alabama Region accepted the donation to the American Red Cross.
